No hits searching for refill info on brother LC985 carts so here goes:

I understand that brother is nice and does not put chips in their cartridges. But are they refillable or do folk just buy cheap carts or specially made refillable ones?

Any pointers to refill instructions and specs for what kind of ink will work much appreciated. I just have a basic J125.

Thanks.

You can refill the Brother LC-985 but the non-OEM cartridges are not very expensive.
