Best tape for cartridge

Can anyone tell me the best tape to seal a cartridge to stop it drying out or leaking after a refill.

Sorry but I have tried many tapes and all without exception tend to either peel off or not stick properly . My best sealer is a glue gun which is easilt unplugged when needs be.

Are you trying to seal the vent, fill hole or outlet ?

Sorry I should have explained it better. I have some empty cartridges which I wish to fill and keep ready to use. I'm not talking about the refilling hole because I use the German method. I mean the main outlet for the ink that has the plastic orange cover on when you buy a new OEM cli-8 cartridge.

OK, I rubberband the orange plastic cap back in place, seal the vent with blue masking tape and then store in an air-tight container such as Snapware.
