BC-33e BC34e printheads for canon BJC-3000

Help.
I have BJC-3000, fitted with BC-33 head. I can buy a BC-34 "photo" head cheaply.
Does anybody know if I will I be able to fit non photo cartridges from my BC-33e to the BC-34e head, and run without problems, or do I have to use photo cartridges only?

Your printer will recognize it as a BC-34 and the firware will execute the code written for the BC-34. This means the printer is now a photo printer, instead of a text printer. Whether your BC33e will fit in it or not you can try to plug it in. I believe you can.

Does this mean that I will have to use photo ink cartridges inevitably? Presently I re-fill BC3e cartridge with black and this works welland is CHEAP! Reluctant to lose this feature.
