I have a Lexmark X7170 all-in-one.

Right after I refill my cartridges, I align/adjust and get non-distorted pictures.
However, over time, there are white streaks, blurry text, and colors are off.
I'm pretty sure this is because the ink is drying.

To fix this problem, I'm going to completely clean a cartridge, and fill it with just a little
ink and print out a perfect copy (hopefully perfect). That way, only a little ink will dry over time.

Is this a good solution?

Also, are there different types of ink (other than color) that correspond to the quality of the ink?

Thanks in advance.
