vuescan

I posted a question here a couple of days ago but it seems to have disappeared, so I am reformulating it: Has anyone used a (calibrated) flatbed scanner with Vuescan to profile a printer? This has been mentioned in the forum as a possibility but I haven't found any post that confirms anyone...
