I've done that, setting the resolution to 1200dpi, and print quality settings to High. There is no fix for it, unless Canon updates a fix for their driver. Anyway this is not a problem in Windows. Just the driver for Linux.

Yes it can print 1200 dpi. The canon printer driver for linux is uhm crappy.
