Lol no the printer cost much more ..the rest were for scalpel, some sets of empty cartridges, some syringes ... So far I have enjoyed it and it was pretty clean and fast .

I bought from OctoInkjet who is in the UK. I guess there is another supplier for the USA. The refill kit costs about 74 euros excluding shipping. As far as I can reckon the ink quality is very good.

I just started refilling for the Mg8150. I only tried the German method on CLI 521 carts and its relatively painless. I am still scared that something will go wrong though but hopefully the feeling will pass when I get more used to the idea of refilling. I think you have to be properly supplied...

I am waiting for my MG8150 printer to arrive from abroad and trying to buy all necessary materials to start refilling. As you may know this will be my first time refilling so am quite confused until I try it out. I have ordered 2 sets of CLI 521 from ebay to use instead of the original CLI 526...

Lol yes now that you explained, it seems very obvious that I have to take off the chip from the second cartridge as well -- I surprise myself sometimes and feel sorry for a minute or two...then I forget :)

do you have to cut the nipple on the second cartridge to be able to install the chip taken from the original cartridge?

Thanks for your reply Red . That does answer some of my questions although I would like to know if its possible to damage the printer itself if I try the refillables. Thats my biggest worry for now as the printer costs upwards of 200 euros so not exactly cheap. By the way what you guys think of...
