Been there.... first three months was a mother's job but before I knew daddy was ALWAYS requested while mother made her beauty sleep.
To community: I forgot to mention earlier SquEasyFill refill system are sent from Heaven, not UK as we are lead to believe :) . Considering how often I sometimes...
How about a cheaper, yet not top notch, profiler?
I don't own Profile Prism but used it to profile a few times and my strongly casted prints got right really fast. It uses your scanner as a color sampler.
I have yet to find an ink for my Brother MFC-440CN and Canon MX870 that looks similar to respective oem inks.
My Brother printer lived (still alive!) 6-7 with cheap ink and refillable cartridges. Color match was a disaster.
Now I ordered OCP ink from germany but keep my fingers crossed as...
Yes, I forgot to mention all printings were on HP Premium Photo Paper.
Arc-En-Ciel inks are VERY, VERY cheap (~1/100ml) and they are just fine on plain paper. I have profiled this printer to both plain and photo paper (Stapples and HP Premium) and profiling is just OK, with very restrited...
Well, been using INKTEC for a while (but remember, I'm not a frenetic printing kind of person ;) ).
Without profiling, colors are on the cool side, maybe not the best equivalence to OEM inks. No clogs, and I sometimes take a week between prints.
Everything is alright, but I would like to post...
Wil,
My problem must be something else.
I used Profile Prism before and it works well - I don't expect it to be a top notch profiling solution, but it works to get rid of problems created by the lack of fidelity third party inks sometimes introduce.
As you can see, the picture from the right...
Hi,
Getting back to this issue. I've tried a few think to no avail...
Here is an example of my problem (from left to right):
A. Without color management;
B. With profile loaded in Windows Color Management and printer driver set to Automatic
C. Profile select in Lightroom, driver without color...
Brother all the way... VERY easy to refill: it's just a tank, very accessible. Mine is over 3 years now, and I'm using CHEAP, CHEAP inks :D (~1/100ml).
See my posts: I don't dislike Brother printing quality but I was caught by MX870 duplex facility and (to be proven) better printing quality...
Smaller... Much smaller :P
My Brother refillable cartridges can take 30-40ml. They are ink tanks!
I guess Canon can take 9ml (19ml PG).
Frequent "preparation" routines are my main concern... Brother must be connected to mains so it can do a cleaning cycle from time to time (my guess is 24h or...
Hi all,
I ended up with Inktec as tintenalarm hasn't replying to my e-mails....
I bought Inktec from tinte44.de.
So far so good. I've refilled after first warning, but made a few (8-14) draft prints to get as little as possible original inks in cartridge.
Q1: would I be safe to let printer...
Well, I find plain paper profile to be way off... I find it strange too as copy function works very well.
msmart, yes I have those options and then:
1. Driver (does select icc automatically)
2. Icm (RGB or AdobeRGB)
3. None
my guess is to use 1. and then select my profile... But then I will...
My driver has ICC, but just don't don't how to use it correctly.
I need the driver to use a given profile for all printings (usually plain paper) - I usually use Lightroom which has options to use other profile for my photo paper and I don't have any problems in this department (LR or PS).
Can you elaborate a little more: what do you mean by over fill?
Do you mean refill, let sponge soak and them refill again to the very, very top?
What would you call a nicely filled cartridge?
ps - do you think I make many questions? Do you? Do you? Or not? :D
The cartridge chip is just a counter that you reset at will. It does no measure ink level in the cartridge.
With a cartridge full and a reset made you can expect level ink indications to be 'correct' so you don't have to watch out ink level every hour (or so...) :)
