I managed to find the reptetive defect list for the 1300. You need to measure the distance between one horizontal line and tthe next. if the distances is; 75mm - Drum 37mm - Mag developer 37mm - PCR 56mm - Upper fuser 62mm - Lower fuser 45mm - Transfer roller Hope this helps

Those grey vertical lines could be the PCR. If you take a look it might have marks all along it that match the ones that are printing. You could try giving it a clean with distilled water and a lint free cloth. It might help

Hi LinBillo, You could try keepimg the STOP button pressed for about 15 seconds, or until you hear the carriage start to move. This often works, the only thing is it wont show you the ink levels for the cartridge afterwards.

Just in case anybody does come across this problem, I just took the chip off and the printer prints fine. It doesnt give me the toner level but this isnt so important. As far as I could figure out, the problem was with the firmware version that the printer has.
