I don't think the ability to print CD/DVD is an issue for me. I've never done it and don't see a need for it in the future. I'm more concerned with overall reliability and cost of use.

Alright, I was finally able to try this this evening. I took the purge pads out, which to my surprise are hard "pumice stone" like pads, not spongy ones. While they soaked in Windex, I cleaned the trays out, filled them with Windex and ran a cleaning cycle. The Windex was not sucked away at all...
