Thanks a lot folks.
Interesting to note that 5he price of the printer is less than the cost of the ink and printhead it comes with!
Guess it is all about giving people the first shot free and getting them addicted on overpriced ink.
Thanks guys.
Out of the printers you mention the ip4600 seems like the cheapest option.
How can I be absolutely sure that it uses the same printhead as the MP640?
Would obviously be even better if the ip3600 used the same head as officestoredepot says, but the image indicates otherwise.
Hello.
With the great help of this forum I am now refilling my Canon PIXMA MP 640.
The results are great and the cost of printing is now at a sensible level. In order to ensure many more years of easy refilling I would like to buy a couple of spare printheads. I already have a spare MP640 in...
Thank you for your reply.
I can definitely see the upside in doing this. Securing years of future printing with cheap refill ink. The cost of a couple of spare printers arent that high either. Especially taking into account that they come with original cartridges.

The parcel got lost in the mail, but he sent out a new one with no cost to me at all.
Thank you for the reply.
Living in Europe i need the 520/521 resetter, which i found out from pharmasist's post is different from the 220/221 resetter, unfortunately, since you refer to what seems like an excellent deal to me
Thank you. I hadn't realised that the 220/221 and 520/521 needed different resetters. Very useful to know since otherwise I could have ended up buying the wrong one! Like you say:
I've just started refilling my MP640 and are now looking for a chip resetter. Having looked in threads on this forum it seems that there are various experiences with the chip resetters available out there. I thought I'd ask to see if there is a general consensus as to what resetter is the most...
First of all, thank you for a great forum.
I have a MP640 which I have decided to start refilling, but I am a little unsure about what ink to go for.
Most people here seems to be very happy with HobbiColors, si I was thinking of going with them too. But looking at their web site it does not...
