Printed out another 8x10 with the Inkgrabber's Photo Cyan. The very beginning of the photo had just a wisp of blue tint in the sky, but cleared up right after the first inch or so. I guess the IMS ink worked its way out of the "picture" (couldn't resist) and Inkgrabbers took over. All is...
Well, after printing the first 8x10 today, the IMS Photo Cyan began to give me vertical banding (slight) and a blue overtone. Just like the Photo Magenta did. So... the Photo colors are out for IMS inks. The black still doing great from IMS. I switched out the IMS PC to Inkgrabbers after one...
I got the order yesterday from Inkgrabbers. I was running low on Photo Cyan so curiosity got the better of me. Rather than use the Inkgrabbers cartridge, I refilled from the Costco IMS kit once more. So far so good. I now have IMS black and Photo Cyan running with InkGrabbers Yellow and...
Will do. I wanted to make it clear that the Photo Magenta screwed up my color pretty bad. Some might have interpreted my statement the wrong way...
The black does seem ok though. I have several bottles of it too.
Update on IMS inks. I ran out of black, the order from Inkgrabbers got screwed up and I was out of time. I still had the kit from Cosco and filled th original tank with IMS black. Remember the Photo Magenta really did a wicked number on my prints. The black however seems fine so far after...
rjr3684, using IMS inks on a Cannon i960.... do you notice a decidedly pink cast to your photos? I had that problem and had to bail on IMS. Went to Inkgrabbers and everything was fine. I have used the yellow as well and all works fine. Maybe you just got a bad tank of it.....
Whats the...
For what its worth, I still have the original Canon black ink tank in my i960. I took it out and it seemed to be thick and slow when the tank is tilted over.
More pictures printed today as well. I have to think either my printer likes the yellow from Inkgrabber or it isn't using it at all. Tank is still very full. Recalibrated the printer, did a nozzle check and did a shoot with a red 72 Corvette today. Beautiful shot. The owner didn't know what...
I guess I'm fortunate in that I have an SLR Digital camera. Its viewfinder is 95% accurate. I print mostly 8x10's, so I don't have so much of an issue in most regards except for framing. I suppose I will have to start custom matting inorder to preserve the 8 1/2 x 11 format with borderless...
Picture frames.... 5x7 8x10 11x14..... did I mention 8x10? Did I not mention 8.5x11? Why does photo paper come in this odd size? Why do we have to crop and cut all the time? Probably a very good answer for this.... but at the moment it really escapes me.
Update on InkGrabbers YELLOW ink.
I have been out on a shooting safari (beach) and have returned with lots of photos. Started printing today and so far have printed out 7 or 8 8x10s. Still looking very fine if I do say so myself. Keeping my fingers crossed and the Canon i960 fired up.
Actually I went to your website and checked out the chicks! I used to raise a few when I was young and it brought back memorys. They were more pets to me at that age than food items. At least you can keep photographing them and somehow include their egg production into an Excel spreadsheet...
