Does anyone know or done any research to determine who or what makes the Epson Compatible G&G pigment inks - especially for the wide format carts. cheers

Best Non OEM Epson K3 ink.

I am interested in what experience users have had in 3rd party inks for Epson Ultrachrome K3 replacement (3800,4800,7800 etc.). There is talk of color gammut, black D-Max , different versions of Blacks, some blacks warmer than others etc. etc. My interest is what is very close to OEM . This...

It would be nice if in a bladder design, the valve part was somehow screwin/ screwout user replaceable. cheers

Good point, contact with air is minimal with the bladder. Not sure how to fix it - the ink manufacturers have to come up with some ideas to overcome or minimise this. cheers

I have both a Lyson type system and Pro-3800 I-Refill and can make some observations. Constant ink flow cartridge design has evolved to a point where maybe the bladder design is not as important or relevant as it used to be say 2 years ago. Why do Epson used a bladder ? To make it difficult to...

This is a great idea, it always churns up the ink after a cleaning cycle so it makes sense to have a little plastic circular disc-well and syringe it out manually. Many thanks indeed.

Being able to reset the maintenance tank with the I-3800 refill system is great, but the physical fiddling of removing the tank cover and replacing the sponge etc. can be a real nightmare. What we need is a drain tube/bottle system, or even syringing the ink out of the maintenance tank would be...

Soon: big test of refillable Epson Pro 3800 cartridges + resetters

I have installed an Epson Pro 3800 I-fill system (the inkjetcarts version) with no major issues . I have followed the pharmacists tips on removing the cover and the velcro lid - all works fine. Apart from a major mistake by the supplier ( LM and M ink bottles were wrongly labelled), all has...

My I-refill has just arrived. I tried to use the maintenance chip resetter to reset a chip- and just replace one cart - but now it registers as non genuine Epson tank Proceed Yes or No. Any ideas? thanks

I am a little confused about the refill procedure for the I-refill system. I am not sure why you have to turn off the printer , wait 3-5 mins and then carefully remove the cap etc. etc before refilling. Given that you have to remove the carts in order to do the big reset - this is when you...

    3800 refillable carts

Finally I have taken the plunge and bought some refillable Carts for the Epson 3800. It is a great printer but genuine carts in Australia are damn expensive. You need to use chips from original Epson carts. These carts feature auto reset, so whenever you power cycle the printer, the carts...

With the old style 3800 80ml refillable cartridge (without the bladder), how low can the level fall before you need to refill?. The valve is a little below half way, does that mean that when the level falls below half way you will have air sucked into the system? Does this mean that the...

Is anyone who is using 3800 refillable carts - simply syringing the ink out of Epson 220ml carts. With all the testing going on about how good or how bad 3rd party black ink can be , you can still save heaps by using OEM 220ml carts. thanks
