I’m using epson Standard cartridges this time it used almost all of the black in about 1/3 of the magenta - Epson is sending me a replacement cartridges but they didn’t really give me an answer

When I replaced my black and magenta cartridges, the printer went through its normal automated loading, but used about 3/4 of the black and about a half of the magenta. It usually uses about 1/8 of the black and the same with the magenta anyone know why it did that this time? I have a WF 2860 Epson
