Thank you for your reply! I'm aware of that test. Maybe CL100 are on par to the CL100+ in terms of fade resistance but extracting CL100+ inks maybe still useful. If only they are 100% identical to the inks in CLI-42 carts.

Once I refilled CLI-42 carts with PC inks. Before doing that I flushed them. Somehow I was able to make them almost free of any water. It's not that hard. Maybe 1-2 ml will still be there but I suppose that the rest of the ink can be extracted quite easily. There will be no need to keep that...

But I'm talking about extracting almost all the ink out of the carts, including the reservoir with a sponge. I'm planning to drill a hole in the top of the carts, then insert a syringe and suck the ink where the liquid is. Then I'll insert another syringe and press in some air into the cart, so...

Swapping chips instead of extracting and refilling ink is easier for sure. However, we all know that Chromalife 100+ inks are overall better than ordinary Chromalife 100 inks. I was going to extract the inks with the help of syringes. I guess that the most part of the inks will be extracted...

I didn't think of extracting ink out of them. As far as I understand, after replacing chips with ones from empty CLI-42 carts it will be possible just to use these modified CLI-8 carts in a Pro-100/100s straightaway. No mess with refilling and it'll be genuine Canon inks with very good fade...
