As far as my problem is concerned, the consensus from another forum is that the voltgae regulator is goosed, and has actually physically blown the two printheads. However, if another printhead works in this machine it probably can't be the same problem.
Has anyone actually tried swapping the chip over onto a non-gen cartridge with the ip4300? If so, does it work? I've had to buy this new printer and I'm a bit doomed if the chip swapping is flaky.
This is beginning to sound uncannily similar to the problem I have with the black [see post on Pixma ip4000]. Ink getting through the printhead but not onto the paper.
Printhead expired on above [as per 11 flashes of orange light].
Acquired new printhead.
The new printhead duly arrived and it installed and worked... with one problem.
This printer has five ink tanks; 6Bk, 6Y, 6M and 6C for graphics; and a larger one - 3eBk - for text. The latter is not...
