I know how mutch an empty and a full cartridge weights.......then i just do the maths.....:)

Because of my cli 581 experience propablly cli 251 std and xl cartridges maybe have the same ink chamber and just fill them with different amount of ink

Also leaves almost always the upper part of the sponge unsaturated and day by day getting dry and finally.....you know.....:(

Also at cli 581 th colours is 5,6 ml and the xxl is 11,7 ml But you can refill the small cartridge with around 10 ml of ink. The xxl you can refil them with 11,5 ml. If you have try to refill the small cartridges of cli 251 and you cant go over 5,6 i have no reason to not belive you. Just seems...

I have test the cli 581 cartridges (cli 281 for US) and the difference between simple and xxl (bigger than xl) was about 1,5 ml at refiling.I think that the cartridges are the same and just canon fill them with different amount of ink.Of course im not sure that at cli 251 happens the same....i...

Why you dont just buy PC inks from mike? Is an exellent 3rd party ink and maches the OEM colur for sure. Is also easy to modyfy the oem cartriges to have better ink flow to printhead than the 3rd party cartridges. As you mentioned you print on canvas.....with a good varnish your prints will last...

If GI-23 are the same with cli 581 i will be happy.I refil because 8 ml ink costs 13 euros.Now with nwe GI-23 57ml costs the same.With sutch a price i dont wana use 3rd party inks.As i saw the inks from pro 100 are different from pro 200 even they are both cromalife 100+ So there is possible...
