    I just ordered the printhead from Canon for $69.95 plus $7 UPS. Started out at $59.95 but in the check out it got bumped up $10 :mad: The other site mentioned for a replacement head wants $92. Hopefully this will solve my problems! Thanks to all for the advice!! Bob

    I appears that the solution to the problem was a 24hr soak in a 50/50 water, clear ammonia bath. Everything is now unplugged. thanks for all the help!! Bob

    The pattern test shows no color at all in the #1 bank of colors. The problem has been getting worse over time as I don't print color all that much. I have a 50/50 mix of carts with OEM and aftermarket. Should I try the dilute ammonia soak next??

    My 8500 seems to have a serious malfunction of the #1 bank of carts. I have rinsed the print head in warm water, blown with air, deep cleaned twice, nothing.
