Happy for Harry but things are at a point where I'm going to have to cut my losses I think
Ran through numerous nozzle cleans and checks - My PBK is still only about 80% there - lost at the top. I'm frustrated as the checks can vary between about 60-90% coverage, some printouts get worse again...
Right so.
I've compromised and got the monochrome inks in from 123ink.ie. Having fitted the ones that were getting low I did a System Clean on just the group 1 inks, gave it 30 minutes and then did a nozzle check. The good news is I'm now seeing streaking on the PBK output (and all other inks...
Okay...
After Nearly a week of a daily clean and nozzle check I can say that all my other nozzles are now totally clear. Photo Black though - like the deal on Brexit - hasn’t been seen for 3 years and is looking unlikely to show its face. I’ve a level alarm on 3 inks and most of the others are...
Hi Gang. I’ll persevere with nozzle checks and occasional cleans whilst this set of cartridges have life in them but I think I might draw the line at spending on new ink that may not still produce results. Better to put the money towards a replacement (current) model??
Quick update. The ink levels of the PBK are definitely dropping. I’ve done a nozzle check and Yellow is still improving 95% now, but nothing from Photo Black
I’ve about 80% showing in the PBK cart. Some of the greys are a lot lower at this stage. I’ll try shaking again and a nozzle check then repeat those every couple of hours??
Morning @The Hat I missed your previous response last night so had powered down. Powered back up this am and ran a clean and a nozzle check. Improving. All inks except PBK & Y are complete and smooth. The PBK is absent altogether and the Y is just the top half of the run - though on close...
@The Hat - Thanks for that, made some progress with the first Deep Clean as you suggested. See the Nozzle check below. Before (left) & After - you were concerned about Cyan which seems to have pretty much bounced back - nothing yet from PBK though.
Hi all
I’ve just joined the site so excuse me jumping in but I spotted from this thread on removing a Canon Pro-1 print head that @The Hat was the man to speak to. Mine is seriously clogged after being idle for 3 years (the wife would say the same of me). I’ve worked through this post having...
Hi All
I’m probably the worst type of printer owner - certainly from a photo printers’ perspective. I print VERY occasionally but look for the best quality. I’ve been cursed with more clogs than a Dutch gift shop and that’s where I’m at now.
I’m here to see if the community can help. I’ve a...
