I spoke too soon. I found I only had a problem when Photoshop managed the color. It turned out to be a corrupted file.

The slide tray worked well enough for me, but I only had a few hundred slides.

I have an Epson V550 it did a great job on my kodachrome from the 80s. I has ICE, but I don't use it. They are under $200.00.

My 3800 died a couple of months ago and I now have a Pro 10. I'm starting to think I should have fixed the Epson.
