3rd Party dye ink fade Test...!

Apparently VO5 hairspray is effective in reducing the effects of UV on inkjet printed pages. It is supposed to help increase their resistance to fading and also help to waterproof water based inks. I haven't tried it myself but apparently it helps. Has anyone heard or know about this?

Epson Artisan 1430 Nozzle Check only one color with gap

Epson printers are well known for clogging. Usually we recommend only 2 nozzle cleans and then just keep printing like the other guy said. If the lines are still there then a cleaning solution may be needed to break down the dried ink which is still inside of the printhead.

    Possible black cartridge issue?

Yeh Windex is actually quite good. Although everyone warns against the use of Ammonia it is very effective at breaking the dried ink down.

black ink position totally empty on nozzle check - a cure maybe?

Yes when I clean a printhead I do similar. I usually first soak each nozzle for at least a few hours. Next I pump a few more ml of cleaning fluid in and finally try to pressurise the cartridge end to force the broken down ink out of the head. I find that Epson printers take the longest time to...

MX726 - how to clean the printhead?

You may need a print head cleaning solution to break down the dry ink that is inside the actual print head. This is a very common issue with Epson printers. You can use Windex ( preferably the one without Ammonia). Usually if only one nozzle is not working 90% of the time it just needs a good...

    B200 error on MX850

Hi Folks I have come across this issue many times on various older model Canon printers. Occasionally by removing the printhead and giving the nozzles a thorough clean and also cleaning all contacts etc they work again. To be honest the majority of the time the printhead is simply dead and needs...
