Fine Art paper for Digital prints

Thanks, I can see the papers like Innova say if they work with pigment. Where I wanted help with was with cheaper papers I could get on Amazon for £10 a pack. Is there an easy way to know if it will be ok other than spending money on it and it not working. I don't really want to buy 10 packs of...

Fine Art paper for Digital prints

Thanks guys, is there any special considerations to make with Gloss paper and the inks on a P800? I assume most decent ones are fine, but what about cheaper glossy paper for home printing of photos?

Fine Art paper for Digital prints

@The Hat would you use the Photo Rag for non-photo prints too? It's all digital art, not photos we will print. Considering Innova is about 40% cheaper per sheet, would that be good to start with maybe, or is there better cheaper alternatives to start with while we get used to the printer?

    Books on printing?

Hi all, Looking to get a book which goes through things like the important of paper types, ink types, getting the best print from your printer (generic, I know specifics can't be generalised for all printers), things like DPI and PPI etc. I know this is all a 'play with your printer and see...

    Pigment printers for Giclee printing

Found a used P800 for the price of a new 10S. now thats an option. but not sure its worth the extra over a used 3880? Is it true Epsons clog easier and costly to repair? we might only print once a month sometimes.

    Pigment printers for Giclee printing

So out of what I've looked at, decide if roller is important or not, whether i want A2+ and if i want to spend £200 second hand or £500 new. The rest is pretty little in difference. Im not going to do black+white photos so the fact some have 3/4 black inks isn't a huge benefit over ones with 2...

    Pigment printers for Giclee printing

Let me know if I am wrong here, but trying to narrow these down: R2000 - smallest droplet size, less inks, takes rolls R2880 - takes rolls, more inks. No benefit over R3000 and same price secondhand R3000 - smaller droplet size (not quite R2000), more inks though, good ink capacity. Pro 3880 -...

    Pigment printers for Giclee printing

Thanks for that, I did see a review that showed it required 30mm margins on fine art paper, it was my preferred choice until then as it does mean losing some size from cutting down for borderless images. The second hand models I mentioned, are are of them too old to be worth getting now? The...
