As with the photo's Ive found the quality to be the same if youre talking about two printers in the same league.
We see all too often someone will compare a 60 Epson to a 300 Canon and then say that the Epson sucks, in reality if you compare a 60 Epson with a 60 Canon, print quality & features...
As Simon quite rightly points out, the ink is where the manufacturers make their money.
You have to ask yourself, which would you prefer:
To spend 500 on a printer and then 3 per cartridge
or 50 on a printer and 15 on a cartridge (and the rest)
To be honest if i was doing as much printing as...
Whether or not in your opinion they are of general interest etc is of no consequence to the forum. I do not use linux, but I presume the canon ink monitoring utility wouldn't work, therefore I may have come to this forum in the hopes of finding a 3rd party app.
Thank you "Chickens" for your...
I have used OCP ink for bci24's in 6's before. Only in an emergency situation tho. I wouldnt recomend it to be honest and if you do, keep a very close eye on your printouts.

I hate to say it but the Printhead in your Epson will fail too, they are a service item, but unlike the Canon which just requires the user to change the head you need an engineer to change the Epson. The Epson heads are VERY suseptable to blockages, regardless of what reviews you've read (coming...
Does the cartridge have a chip on it? If it does you can buy a re-setter and just reset the thing whenever it shows as empty. If it doesnt have a chip, just take the cartridge out and put it back in again, the printer will just think its a new cartridge when you do that.
Dan
Considering the massive amount of ink your cartridges hold i'd love to get my hands on your printer!
69ml for the black, thats megga, canons biggest is 27 i believe.
Cartridge World will re-fill your cartridges for you, I do/did (last day tomorrow) for 15 for the black, i know its not as cheap...
Hey, the MP500 looks like a good machine, its double the res of the 750/60/80 I think so u should get some awsome prints from it.
You got any pics of it with the system in place? I was thinking of getting the 500 but an still concerned about the chip issue with no re-setters on the horizon...
Seal it up and tap it gently (like you do with a can of coke thats been shaken up) this should pop the bubbles. What ink are you using thats bubbled up? I havent really had problems with bubbles b4?
These are quite nice cartridges to re-fill. I go for the pop the top off methord then you can see exactly what you are doing.
Its a very hard sponge, you can pull it out quite easily to have a look down the bottom (not that one would need to)
1. Remove cap
2. Hold the cartridge on a bit of...
Unfortunatly Cheap printers and high priced consumables have been around for a long time now. Lexmark being the first that springs to mind!
HP are knocking a few quid off their cartridges to make them seem cheap, but their new tri-colour carts have 5ml - no thats not 5ml per colour. Just 5ml...
As far as I'm aware this is impossible, I seem to remember a similar question popping up a few months back.... Although the principle seems like a good plan, this really was not what your poor R800 was designed for - or capable of. Unless these chemicles your using have the same chemical make up...
It almost looks like the water content is too high, I have had this in the past after cleaning hp45's/15's and leaving them in the ultrasonic bath for too long and they draw some water up....
The other thing worth checking is the paper, get a sheet of a different brand and see if it does the...
Osage, this is taken from the Canon site:
"Canon Printers come with the unique ink tank system and high precision ink level detection system..
Canon uses three eyes to detect the remaining ink level: optical detection, a dot-count method and visual inspection.
This ensures maximum utilization...
