    Starting with PRO-200

Maybe they will just do what they used to, have a calculation for how much ink is used for a cleaning cycle, and how much to use to print a page, then just count this up to get an estimate of ink usage. I cannot imagine any other way would be possible without expensive tech being involved.

EU Customs Duties on inks from North America

This is an interesting conversation, we here in Australia up to now only pay our GST on goods imported that are worth more than $1k AU, but from 1 July they are going to apply the tax (10%) to all imported goods. This may not sound much but we always seem to be paying far more for stuff here...

Epson Stylus Pro 7600 colors dropping at random

Ink stained Fingers, just thought I would update you on my efforts to get my Pro 7600 working. So quite by accident I have now discovered the problem! So simple, after leaving the thing (by now it has a not so good name) for a few days thinking that maybe I have now wasted my money, I decided...

Well now that I have done quite a bit of printing, making ICC profiles as I am using later model ink, got a fantastic result on satin paper really happy with it. But now I find that before I print anything I have to do head cleans and unclog prints until I get a reasonable nozzle check, never...

Epson Stylus Pro 9600 printing on polycotton

Gotta luv the comment "I find it fun making something perform a task it was never meant to do" My hubby tells me that all the time. "Why oh why do you want to re-engineer this thing" he says. My reply is always, "cos I enjoy having a go". I wonder if there is any sort of spray coating you...

Ok so I am now happy the pump is ok and nothing is broken inside, great idea to put a clean piece of paper towel in front of the funnel, this showed exactly the nozzles that were firing, and this time it did show what looked like LM, LC and some black, (feeling excited) did a nozzle check and...

Epson Stylus Pro 7600 colors dropping at random

Well that is the problem I can see no movement whatsoever, also the maintenance cart has very little of what looks like OLD ink in it but is showing nearly full, so the printer thinks it is used up but in reality no ink is going in there. I have squeezed in a clean piece of folded up paper towel...

Epson Stylus Pro 7600 colors dropping at random

Hi again, after my two cleans and power clean I can see the tubes are fully charged with no air bubbles which were there to start with so I do not think it should take too much more to get it working but I did flush the head right out. I have the manual and it gives 3 types of cleaning, std...

You may need to do some googling just in case things are a bit different on W7, but I doubt it. 1. Download the drivers for Windows Vista 64 or 32 depending on your OS, from the Epson website 2. Extract/unzip the drivers but do not install from the setup. 3. To be able to install the vista...

Hi again, so now have the new dampers installed and got printer working, but no ink, I have now done two normal head cleans and one power clean with nozzle checks in between, I did draw a very small amount of ink into each damper before refitting to head...thoughts on how to get the ink flowing...

Great thanks for your help, I have ordered dampers, and have flushed the print head with windex and then with distilled water. All flushed very easy with no resistance. All the inks in the line and dampers look pretty liquid and I cannot see any lumps. I may do some damper flushing as well just...

Hi Ink Stained Fingers, LOL great nick. I have located and cleaned all the gunk off the wiper blade and watched it move up and down, pretty hard to see how well it is wiping the print head, it is a bit bowed but nothing broken off it, so still in one piece, I see where you can buy new ones from...

On the cleaning issue, there is a clear tube that comes from what I can only think is the pump, this goes to the flushing box and goes down the guts of the big tube that is attached to the flushing box, attached to this pump is also a black tube that comes from the capping station, I have...

Epson Stylus Pro 7600 colors dropping at random

Hi guys, I am researching how to get my newly bought, second hand pro 7600 to work. When I bought it, it printed a near perfect nozzle check and a very good test image. All looked good, so pay the money and off I go, but since then I have had very little success, after spending half a day...

Just a little help for a friend. Canon or Epson

A certain bloke who has the best printer you tube channel thinks a lot of the Canon Pro 100, which is a dye ink based printer, also the Epson Artisan 1430 dye ink does a pretty good job. These range from $400 to about $600 AU ish. For a beginner or someone who wants to print without having to...

Just a little help for a friend. Canon or Epson

I priced up these inks for my R1900, would you believe that it was more cost effective to buy from the US including the freight! Rihac do reckon that their pigment inks are micro encapsulated, so they may be ok.

    WIN 10 Update

There is only one way to get to Windows 10, that is with a clean install. If you cannot do that then you need to do a fair bit of housekeeping BEFORE you do an upgrade. But now that the free upgrade time has gone, why would you do anything else but a clean install? No doubt there have been...
