ENDED - WINNER ANNOUNCED - Official PrinterKnowledge Picture Contest #3

I grow chilis for fun. This one is called "Black Scorpion Tongue" and is not very hot but it looks gorgeous when ripening in a explosion of colors on its way to full red. I made a nice print of this image on a matte paper :)

    I like Photo Rag

I really like the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper. I just made a glorious print of some colorful chili fruits on a Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 with my Epson 3880. Just sayin. I also made a B&W print on a Hahnemuhle Torchon paper from a pack of various Hahnemuhle sample papers I ordered. That's one...

    Damn you, Baryta

"Wasting a bit of ink when changing between photo black ink and matte black ink on my new Epson 3880 printer will not be an issue since I'll hardly ever print on glossy paper." Printer native resolution and sharpening

Agreed, the Lightroom print module is awesome and very easy to use.... I would imagine for the vast majority of prints setting the dpi to the printers native resolution and choosing one of Lightrooms three print sharpening levels gives excellent results

    Printer native resolution and sharpening

Thanks for the answers. Wasn't aware that native resolution changes with print quality, I'll look into this. Whether this is of any importance when viewing prints at normal viewing conditions is also an interesting question. But even if it isn't I still want to maximize quality out of sheer...

    Printer native resolution and sharpening

Hi forum, I have a rather basic question: When I print an image with a certain resolution (pixels/inch) from Photoshop CC, is the image resampled to the printers native resolution? (I have just gotten myself an Epson 3880 printer which have a native resolution of 360ppi if I understand...

    Hi

Hi printerknowledge! I'm a happy new owner of an Epson 3880 printer, my first printer ever. Probably I'll be printing mostly black and white which I really like but also some color. I've made only a few prints so far on a few different paper types but I have gotten some really nice B&W results...
