    iP4300 - leaking ink

Well, at least it sounds like it must be the cart. My fill hole was tested and didn't leak. There must be a crack somewhere else, though I couldn't find it. I ordered a new cart. Pharmacist, thanks for the link. I will certainly give that method a try next time.

    iP4300 - leaking ink

I'm refilling OEM cartridges on the 4300. When refilling, I'm drilling a hole in the top and then resealing with glue. I've refilled the pigmented black about 10 times, and now it leaks all the ink out overnight. I've double checked the seal on the hole and replaced it a couple times. It is...

    Clogged Canon print head

I've been using airline tubing on the color ports, right along. I also flushed using denatured alcohol and the tubing. I unclogged the color ports and have had no problem printing color. On the larger black port, I used a larger dia. vinyl tubing. I had to cut one wall to a thinner section to...

    Clogged Canon print head

Would a bad purge unit cause black to not print, but allow color to print perfectly? I don't get any error codes and never did. I don't want to switch to OEM carts for black, since black is 95% of what I print - no savings there. If I decide to switch to a dye ink for the black, does anyone...

    Clogged Canon print head

Well, I received the new printheads and the one put into the i350 works fine. I'm still not able to print black with the ip1500. The cartridge is a brand new Canon cartridge that has been comfirmed to work in the other printer. Can anyone give me a reason why the black would not print on a...

    Clogged Canon print head

I wish I would have known about that ebay deal sooner. I'd have saved $15.00. I already bought the new printhead, because even though rediculous, it was still the cheapest option. When I bought the printer for $45.00, it came with ink cartridges, color and black. It just seems like a total rip...

    Clogged Canon print head

Good idea digitalartist. Removing the screen does make sense. I have a new printhead on order and will wait until it's in before any more experimenting on this one. It still prints in color, so it's usable - sort of.

    Clogged Canon print head

I completely dismantled both printheads. I removed the circuit boards, took off all the rubber gaskets, and then soaked it for a week in water, for 3 days in denatured alcohol, I put it in windex for days and 90% isopropal alcohol for a few days. None of this had any effect. I used extremely...

    Clogged Canon print head

95% of what I print is black text, so using Canon Carts for the black ink is not going to save me any money. I've switched to Hobbicolors ink in an ip3000 that I have. So far, it's doing fine, but it's only been one refill. Hopefully, this brand will do a better job long term. Paying Canon's...

    Clogged Canon print head

I came across this thread and thought it might help with my two clogged Canon printers. The first is a Pixma ip1500, the second is an i350. They take the same cartridge and the print heads look the same, but are not interchangable. In both, the black ports are completely clogged. They clogged...
