    Epson L300

It's very interesting to know that such 4-color inkjet printer actually programmed to use black for photo printing on photo paper. Maybe that helps explain why Epson use all dye ink and not CMY dye + pigment Black as usual. Usually, I only see 4-color inkjet printer with Black as the pigment ink...

    Laser printer: Brother vs Ricoh

Can you share your own experience, tips and tricks with Brother printers? Btw, do Brother printers use chip, something like on HP toner cartridges that every time I refill I need to replace the chip?

    Laser printer: Brother vs Ricoh

In terms of Inkjet Printer, many people suggest Brother for 4-color inkjet printer due to its durability, CISS-ready in printer design, easy of refill, less clogging issues.... How about in the world of color/monochrome laser printer? I seek around and found that Brother and Ricoh and the 2...

    how many people refill?

Those who go to a shop like Cartridge World and buy ready-to-use remanufactured/refilled cartridges (inkjet/laser) are also (and should be) considered as "people who refill" :D The problem is that they don't do the refilling process themselves so they might not be aware that they are in fact...

    Pro 100 driver for Linux

Among the inkjet printer manufacturers, only HP is known to support Linux the best (with HPLIP project). The rest, including and especially Epson and Canon, dislike Linux. Although some of their printers have Linux drivers but those drivers are not as good as Window's or Mac's. So my...

Canon PIXMA G series - Epson L equivalent!

If Epson has L series for OEM CISS, then Canon now has the same: Canon PIXMA G series. Better than L series of Epson: use black pigment for K channel and dye color for CMY channels, removable print heads. Unfortunately only available in India...

Wouldn't it be a bad idea, in case the original links are inaccessible, if we archive a copy of each of the manual we found? You know, links on the Internet come and go...

Ricoh toner for HP P1102w printer

Ricoh does sell refill toner pack for the SP laser printer series to allow their customer to refill the cartridge themselves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17g5izFmN38). Can I use that toner to refill my HP P1102w 85A cartridge?

Energy usage Laser vs. InkJet printer (video)

The most power hog inkjet printer I know needs about 100W, a bit more or less. The most power hog inkjet printer/digital duplicator I know needs max 1kW, a bit more or less. The normal home laser printer already needs a peak power of 1kW or more when power on. :D

Using pigment UV ink with Epson L210

You won't believe that here in VN people actually use eco-solvent ink + a dirt cheap long-discontinued Epson printer to print. It's one-time use. When they get a project, they will prepare the printer and ink, and once start to run, it runs continuously non-stop until done, and when done they...

Using pigment UV ink with Epson L210

I usually use distill water (make it yourself or buy it dirt-cheap at any pharmacy stores - but be careful that they might won't sell it, because it was once upon the time, there are people buying distill water to use drugs: heroin, cocain, etc.) and ethanol 70%. Or the Windex one.

Using pigment UV ink with Epson L210

Hello! I'm from Vietnam. The ink type definition in Vietnam is all messed up so take extreme precautions when buying. Let's say the below info is for Epson ink. Dye ink is simple with 3 type: dye, dye uv and dye sublimation. They usually call dye-based ink "water-based ink" because they think...

Intermittent Banding When Bidirectional Printing Enabled

Many thanks for your information. I haven't owned the L1800 yet, just plan to. I'm just curious how Epson solved sediment issue with their system, or do the tubes actually come from not the bottom of those tanks. :hide

Intermittent Banding When Bidirectional Printing Enabled

I don't want to dig this old thread up, but I'm very curious to know how can we achieve this with Epson L series to be able to use pigment ink? I mean how can I modify the Epson L series fixed (the old L series tanks are removable, but the newer series seems to get it fixed into the case) tank...

Epson XP-200 or WF-30 with CISS?

Come on, you've just successfully convinced me to wait til I can afford and go with Epson L series :D:D L120 seems very good and affordable, but its max res is only 720dpi, making it only suitable for printing document on plain paper and maybe inkjet or matte paper. I can't image printing photo...

Comparing Piezo heads with thermal inkjet heads

I just wonder that, is it because of the need of "constant priming even during a printing job to keep the ink flowing" that we don't have piezo pagewide printhead like that of HP Officejet Pro X series? Because let's say we have a piezo pagewide head and it's in the middle of a print job, below...
