mikling,
Thank you for your comment.
What I normally use for BW printing are scans from BW film. Then they are processed slightly in Photoshop (dust, etc.) and brought to Lightroom and printed from there using the Canon's plugin.
So they are real BW to begin with, have "the look", although it...
I am also finding (during my very short experience with Pro-100 so far) that when using the Canon paper, I can get rather neutral b/w, but paper is plastiky. Good for framing but does not feel right in hands.
But when I use Ilford Gold Silk Mono, for example, which I like a lot better than...
I certainly would not be willing to do that.
I reprinted some of my old color pictures (that were ordered from Mpix and likes) and was very impressed with colors. Would not want to give it up.

Thank...
Hello,

What price would you consider a fair price for this machine? Seems like a really good deal as is...

How much protection does the spray really give to a print? And which spray is better- Krylon, Lyson, Sureguard....
Thank you in advance!
Mikhail
Hello and thank you for the interesting and useful comparison study.
I wanted to ask a question (and keep in mind I am brand new to inkjet printing): did anybody do any similar "real life" research with an additional factor of UV protective spray? How much protection does the spray really give...
