I believe I dropped a plastic piece about 1/2 inch square by 3/8 in the front of the printer when the front door was open and need to open up the frame to look for it. So I'd like to open up the whole front to look inside. Any suggestions?

Not really. the printer dialogues are all predictable. Sometimes if you remove the new heads, put in some old dead ones turn it on and in the meantime wash the new chips with alcohol briefly they will work, when you reinstall the newbies. I seem to recall going into the preferences very deeply...

I first saw a reservoir type ink system in a computer shop printer and was blown away and started looking till I found the one I have now. Which production printers nowadays have an ink reservoir system?

Do like I did after dealing with that for awhile, I bought a CIS system. Prints beautifully, no threats. CIS took me maybe 1/2 hour to install and now lots of inexpensive printing.

The plastic thing on the front of my 8600 that stops the paper from flying onto the floor has broke. Anyone have any fixes for that?

This thread is now cancelled. I bought a CISS system a number of years ago and installed it without reading the instructions completely. : ) It leaked and never worked properly. Finally I went back, read the instructions ....completely...... and it works like a charm. LOL It took maybe 10...

I went to buy a CIS system for my printer from Inkproducts and they do not sell to Canadian customers. Does anyone know of a different supplier? Thanks Alan

I first learned about CISS from a place that had a large printing requirement. I think that next machine I get will be laser also.
