I haven't got the airprint driver installed. As suggested I made a print on premium semiglossy (I'm out of premium glossy), under standard gloss paper media setting. No improvement...same bronzing problem.

I'm on macos using the latest printer driver and firmware. I don't see this in the printer dialogue on the computer or on the printer display panel.

Media setting don't change the options on the 'maintenance' display. Looking at colour glossy prints done on my old ET-7750 show no bronzing whatsoever, they are much better than the ones made on the ET-8550. Another oddity is that B/W prints in ABW mode on glossy come out very brown/sepia in...

Just checked: my printer dose not have "Printer Density" option either in 'Settings' or 'maintenance'

Thank you for your swift reply! I would say that it is photoblack only or when the colours are of a lower value. I have dug out an old B/W Northlight image test printed on my once owned ET-7750 and compared it to the same printed on the ET-8550. The ET-8550 print shows strong bronzing...

This has been resolved!. I reset the printer to its default settings, uninstalled all the Epson drivers, then installed only the Epson driver. All is now good. Similar to The Hat's suggestion. I can now print out with confidence colour test targets for profiling.

Interesting! I've just made the same print with Gimp. It looks fine. So its a software problem? I need to do more testing.

I'm not printing borderless. If you look at the above photo you will see a very generous white border of about 35mm on A4 office paper. There you will see magenta ink streaks in the white paper border. I'm really not doing anything different from my normal way of printing. I haven't encounted...

I have another issue. I'm getting magenta ink overspray on one border of the print. On landscape mode its either at the top or bottom, depending how I orient the print file. Hope you can see what I mean from the Photo. This is just a test print on office paper.

Thanks for the advice! Farbenwerk also recommend rocking the printer to and fro from time to time. this helps keep the pigments in suspension

Getting perfect nozzle checks....All is good! Now I need to get some profiles made for the new inkset. Big thanks for all your help.

After a couple of cleans magenta and Pbk have returned. More testing and cleaning tomorrow!

There's a small srew at the bottom of the damper. Unscrewed the damper can be removed. Underneath the damper ther is no valve, but something 'mouth' like, see photo. The nozzle jet check shows empty magenta and photo black sections

Sorry, but I should have been clearer. The photo is of a replcement damper part I found online. I'm still have problems trying free the dampers. Sorry, for any confusion.

I don't see a latch.

The dampers are stuck in firm, I can't get them out. Is their a knack?
