Refillable cartridge vs Resetting the cartridge

What fun is refilling if you have never had your favorite shirt covered with blue ink? Of course, nothing like this has ever happened to me:ep

Switching to Precision Signature Edition-Pro 100?

I've used the previous Precision Color inks for several years in my Canon Pro 100 with zero problems. When I switch to SE inks, can I simply add ink to the empty cartridges that were using the older inks? Seems that I have read that it's OK, but I can't find the post. I don't care if the colors...

My Canon Pro 100 won't print large images. Prints only parts of image. What do I do?

I wondered about the same thing. How many computers are affected? We have basically zero crossover with computers parts or software!

My Canon Pro 100 won't print large images. Prints only parts of image. What do I do?

I turned updates back on (from paused). Then I reinstalled the offending update (KB500802). It was back to printing images with the huge gaps. Then I installed the KB5001649 update and everything seems to be normal again. Here's a screenshot of the update (there is a long list for different...

My Canon Pro 100 won't print large images. Prints only parts of image. What do I do?

Keeping my fingers crossed, but it is Microsoft! My screenshot of Windows Update this morning is the same as yours. I think I'll do nothing for now and hope for the best. Thanks!

My Canon Pro 100 won't print large images. Prints only parts of image. What do I do?

stratman, I deleted this update (Windows 10 KB5000802 (March) update) as suggested by Peter. I assume this new update that you mentioned will be included with the next one Microsoft automatically sends out? So I don't need to do anything at this point, since my printer is now working OK?

My Canon Pro 100 won't print large images. Prints only parts of image. What do I do?

Suddenly, I can't print large images (from a jpeg) on my Pro 100. I reinstalled the drivers with no change. Here is a print preview of what is happening. Sometimes the image is half the page, other times the middle in not printed, bit the top and bottom are. I often print things like invoices at...

Thanks, Hat! That's what I was planning to do, but thought I'd ask the forum first.

Short Term storage of a Pro 100?

I'm moving soon, and will need to store my Pro 100 printer. It will be in the original box (so safely packed) and in a temperature controlled storage facility. It will be there 1-2 months. What should I do (if anything) before packing it? Remove printhead and ink? Leave it as is? Thanks! Fred

What's with all the movement inside my Pro 100 before printing?

Yes, exactly what I meant to say...........that I'm unlikely to hit the 480 hour mark and waste ink.

What's with all the movement inside my Pro 100 before printing?

Great..........0.22ml isn't much! I understand the first print after the 120 or 480 hour mark. I print something about every 2 days, so I'll print something close to those times. Thanks! Fred

What's with all the movement inside my Pro 100 before printing?

Bruce, Thanks for the explanation. One question, you said "uses a bit more than 2.2ml per cartridge (on average) or a total of 1.8 ml across all 8 carts." Not sure that is what you meant.....or I'm not understanding. Is it 2.2ml x 8 = 17.6 ml? I don't think my printer has ever gone past the 120...

What's with all the movement inside my Pro 100 before printing?

I have it set to turn on when it's sent something to print. So the white led is normally off. I'm guessing that's still a low-power mode and is OK to use. Thanks! Fred

What's with all the movement inside my Pro 100 before printing?

Many times, my Pro 100 will go through a lot of "action, movement" before it prints. And this is even if I have printed within the 60 hour mark. It sounds like lots of carriage and other parts moving for a long time. I've had many Canon printers, but never one that did so much, or took so long...
