Hi, I prefer the jpeg format, so I save most of my pictures as jpg. Use High quality for better pictures, but larger files - lower the quality for smaller file size.

I don't run a nozzle test every day or print at least one page every day and didn't have any problems. About the checking ink levels before starting a large print job - it's practical, but has nothing to do with the "printer health" ;)

Yep, I'd recommend the same, but Btamotsu said "mostly, but not exclusively black and white" and a color laser printers are not that cheap yet - may be some day....
