Alternative ArgyllCMS rgb printer target for Colormunki/i1Studio

Nice work! The patch size is interesting! Is there any particular printtarg commands you used for this chart? With all the experimenting we've done lately, I'm at the point where I just simple do a one page chart with preconditioning. I would love to reproduce something similar for letter...

Windows 11 and Network Printer Sharing

Is you account a local administrator? A few years back, MS did changes that will prevent a non admin user to install drivers for a shared printer. You might have the driver on the windows 11 box but the pc might still be trying to download it from the share . I think 0x00000040 was sometimes...

No Color Management is no more for making a print profile?

That does look strange but my understanding is that they only recommend it if the print looks bad using "no color management" I might recall this incorrectly but I think the old scanner based profile prism gave similar recommendations in the earlier versions.

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

@buxiaozizai.com Looking at some documentation you may be right. That's bizarre. I ended up with the 0-1 file because printtarg wouldn't accept the ti1 from my first version which was like yours. When I compared with some existing ti1 files I had, I changed the scale. Have to tried to read...

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

Hi.. this is totally normal for argyllcms. The original script works correctly. You can use r g b values, convert them to TI1 with my script. If you then use printtarg, the tiff files will have the correctt r g b values if you open the in argyllcms

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

My apologies for the late reply. I was out for a vacation and it got a little hectic at work when I got back :) Here is the ArgyllCMS version of the chart. Letter sized. It's "as is". I didn't add any additional patches to this one so it will not completely fill the 2nd page.

    Colormunki argyllcms scanning template

Hello just out of curiosity, would anyone have a printable "ruler" for scanning of small patches with a colormunki and argyllcms that they would be willing to share? I believe I've seen something here for A4 but I'm having problems finding it.. and I'm using letter paper. I typically use a...

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

Here is the TC918 plus grays TI1. If anyone is curious, my first experiment with the TC9.18 target was a failure. Chartread could not read back even the first line on my color munki. Pretty much every line was being confused with row "K" for some off reason. This was printed with -ii1...

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

This last patch I think completes the series. I kept the Spyderprint gray patches but instead of using the 225 patchs from the color spyder chart, I let ArgyllCMS 644 patches patches including some grays. With an enlarged i1 size patch, it can still be scanned in with a Colormunki using a...

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

The TC9.18 is a bit old but i'm curious to see if it will give good or similar results compared to just letting Argyllcms determine the patches. I noticed that the TC918 doesn't seem to include much in the way of neutral. At least not at a quick glance. I built another three page target...

Sorry everyone, I figured...

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

And finally for those that do not care about paper, Bill Atkinson's 4096 patch target. This is 10 letter pages at i1 size. The 10th page was only partially full so to fill it, I added the Spyderprint extra grays and an extra 15 random patches. I don't see myself ever using this one... ever...

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

Here is Bill Atkinson's 1728 patch target plus a few gray patches to fill the page. This is 4 letter sized sheets with slightly enlarged i1 patches

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

Here is the TC9.18 target. It's scaled at 306 patches per page which should work OK for a Colormunki. I randomized the chart. I suspect this one won't be any better than a normal ArgyllCMS profile with or without preconditioning but hey.. this is for science

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

Thanks... Here are two versions of the High Quality Target plus Grays for Argyllcms. The first version includes the color and gray charts patches in order. I had to modify the scale a tiny bit because the gray target has more patches than the color target. The color portion ends up looking...

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

Another AI creation that will be useful for users of ArgyllCMS. This python script will take a txt file with R G B values and output to a ti1 file that include the necessary data (patch number, RGB on a 0-100 scale and XYZ values). The TI1 file can then be used with printtarg to print for...

Converting Spyderprint 225 patch target to i1Profiler

@pharmacist Well.. i'm not 100% convinced the datacolor device is terrible. The profile done from my old readings exported from the spyderprint software is much better processed by argyllcms than the exact same data processed in the spyderprint software. My colormunki argyllcms profile is...
