Welcome to this forum...you will find knowledgeable people here willing to help. I'll start the ball rolling. To remove your printhead, just lift up the top of the printer, as if you were going to replace a cartridge. When the printhead moves to the middle and stops, take a close look at it.

It's a good thing that you found this forum. There are a lot of very helpful, knowledgeable people here willing to share their knowledge.
I hope you will stick around - someone might need help from you one of these days.
You could also remove the printhead, and let cold running wayer run through it until it runs clear. Turn it over, and do the same thing. When it is completely clear, hold the printhead tightly and shake it a few times. Put your cartridges back in and do a head ccleaning and a nozzle check. That...
Great idea....It won't be long before the price of these go up, due to the larger, refillable cartridges. They are already listed by some Amazon.com sellers for over $350 ea.
If anyone knows of a business in Canada with these in stock, please post here.
They seem to have a decent eBay reputation, but I usually hesitate to do business with a company who does not list their phone number on their website.
Have a look through their feedbacks for the last ear or so. I'm sure you will find some comments on their quality. You can e-mail them and ask...
Here is the company info. I'm sure they will be very happy to tell you who sells their items in your area Good luck!!

Great idea.... I just purchased it...thanks
Have looked at the enclosed material, and no description or image as to how to take it apart. If anyone knows, please post here.
Thanks!!
Thanks, Pharmacist.... I have done that a number of times, and it just does not work for long. I had seen an article posted here about a year ago, about a member here who had taken his i9900 printer apart. I hope he gets to see this and help me out.
All comments appreciated...
I'm not the most technical guy here, and I need some advice. My wonderful i9900 printer still prints great photos, but on the bottom of the prints there are 8-10 black lines. Cleaning the rollers from the top did not work. I will need to disassemble the printer in order to better access the...
In certain areas, you may also be able to find an MP 520 and/or an ip3500 - both use the refillable pgi-5 and cli-8 carts. While not as heavy duty as the 610, these are suitable for light to moderate use.
The 520 only has 4 cartridges..it does NOT have the photo black cli-8. When you need black for photos, the 520 will use the 3 colours to make black.
i would suggest you get a model that has the 5 cartidges....
If you live in Canada, I would try the compatibles available under the "coraljet" label
http://www.idiya-solutions.com/blank.html
I have had great performance with these compatibles, and have sold 100s of these in the last year with no complaints from customers, which is rare indeed. Most...
Clean all contacts, and if that does not help, buy the lower cost hp27 and 28 instead if the 57 and 56..it's worth a shot.
Or, If you know anyone with a printer who use these carts, try yours in their printer first....
Good luck, and welcome to the Forum...
Well, I'm in small-town Canada. I have hundreds of empty carts that I would like to sell at one shot. Too bad Staples limits returns to 10 at a time, as I would have to mail them in and that would be a real pain. If anyone knows of a depot in Canada that would purchase empties in bulk, please...
You might find a solution here - apparently, several people did!!...good luck! Post your results here later..it might help someone else.

I have sold over 20 of these to my customers over the last 4 months. None has complained about paper jams, though. I have had several different complaints, however. In 3 cases, people found the fax very difficult to set up, and 2 other people complained that the printer actually got noisier...
Maybe they did, but they are laughing all the way to the bank. I'm sure they made a small fortune during the 2 yrs that it took for someone to develop a resetter. And what was Canon's reaction when the resetter came out? They stopped all production of the pgi-5 and cli-8 series, and introduced...
