Frutchy,
I have had a similar problem with my ip6000D - when printing large photos (8.0" X 10.5") on letter size paper (8.5" X 11") I would get a different shading in the last inch or so of the print. I tried the trick that some on this forum have suggested in the past - put a small sticky note...
Use the "Ask seller a question" to request info and price on the plugs. He usually supplies those kind of parts as a separate item on request. The plugs are shown when you select one of the multi-color refill kits and scroll down the pictures.

I have not had luck getting the BCI-3eBK sponge real white, especially in the sponge area around the outlet port. The other BCI-6s do get almost totally white. I think the BCI-3s will need to be flushed more often than the dye based ink cartridges. I also fill the BCI-3 cartridge with Windex...
If you think it is the printhead, why not buy another printhead? EBay printers could be a crapshoot - may already have problems. Why is the person selling it? Newer Canon printers have chipped cartridges - not as easy to refill as the good old ip4000. I had problems with my ip4000 - problems...
I don't believe so - I have never seen filled cartridges in any of his offerings. If you would decide to go with Hobbicolor inks, get his latest UW-8 inks. They are actually geared towards the newer chipped cartridge Canon printers, but have worked very well for me in both my ip4000 and ip6000D...
I believe that with the ip6000D most BLUE printing is done with the Photo Cyan cartridge, with only dark blues using the regular CYAN. That may be why you are not seeing a color shift. I know with my ip6000D (the printer I use for photos) that I go through 2 or 3 PC cartridge (refills) for every...
IMHO Canon cartridges are the best. But, of course, you don't want to be paying the price for new Canons. Have you considered refilling? Purge empty Canon cartridges and refill. The only non-Canon cartridges I have tried have been Hobbicolor's. They were OK but they never seemed to seat as tight...
If possible I would like an explanation of how a Post_It note on the end of a sheet of paper tricks the printer into believing the paper is longer. I had a similar problem with the end of print banding problem (on my ip6000D) and tried the Post_It note trick and it didn't work - tried in on both...
The chance of you finding that particular profile is very small. If you have plans on trying different papers/inks it would be best to either buy Profile Prism (same source as QImage) or buy a profile. I have Profile Prism and it has done a very good job in making profiles for my ip6000D using...
I have the Garmin nuvi 200W. It is a basic entry level GPS unit that comes with maps of the lower 48 states - no Canada. Canadian maps could be loaded onto a SD card. It has no Bluetooth or MP3 capability. It tells you that your turn is coming up, but does not announce the road names. The road...
David,
I am not sure you will find anyone who has used/is using both Hobbicolor and Image Specialists inks. Both seem to get very favorable reviews here and when a person picks one or the other he will probably stick with the choice. I happen to use Hobbicolor UW8 inks and am happy with them. I...
Actually after I found that setting the printer paper size to 14" fixed my problem, I never went back to the 11" size. Could be a bad printer driver but I doubt it. As I stated in my earlier post - I think it has to do with how the printer acts as it is approaching the end of the paper. I do...
I have been following this thread on an irregular basis, but when I saw the note about the Post-It tag I decided to jump in with a comment. I used to have a similar problem with my ip6000D when printing 8 " X 10.5" prints on 8.5"X11" paper. I would get banding (sometimes very noticeable...
Will not damage the printer but the color will be way off. The Photo Magenta is a much lighter shade than the regular Magenta. If you don't care about the resulting shades of red coloring, go for it.

Actually I blow air into the top fill hole so I am actually pushing the sponge back down into the outlet hole. Of course since I use the top fill method with squeeze bottles, and not the German method, I have an open hole at the top of the non-sponged chamber that I can force air through and...
I don't think he is talking about Office Depot, but OSD (Office Store Depot) which is apparently the rebirth of Inkcessories. Inkcessories was good in the past but seems to have taken a real bad turn based on some recent posts on this forum.

Or compressed air to blow out the excess water, which is what I do. Of course it helps if you have a compressor. Guess you could use those cans of air, but could get expensive.
The Costco in King of Prussia, PA also now has the Made In Mexico Kirkland Glossy 8.5" X 11" paper. Saw there were still a few Made In USA boxes left. Didn't get more since I still have an unopened box of both Made In USA and Made In Switzerland. I see that the two boxes have the same Stock...
