I've just seen an advert for the Ricoh GX3000 gel printer. It appears to use a new technique and this is the first time I have seen something like that advertised. No price given for the carts, or how many pages they will print.
Can anyone describe the pros and cons? How about refills.

That's what I am suggesting. Provided the IR is 'live', then it would be sure to work. If I knew what the connections were to the sensor in the IR assembly, I could provide a simple circuit.
