Canon i865 printhead moving while replacing inktanks.

that also sounds like the printer is in SERVICE MODE.... and doing i what i think is cleaning the rollers? not exactly sure...but if a certain combination on the power/paperfeed button are pressed, you can enter the service mode and then have the printer do various service options such as waste...

Canon i865 printhead moving while replacing inktanks.

sounds like your printhead is not allowing enough time before it parks itself as foto is saying. sounds like a weird electrical/sensor problem. maybe the sensor/switch is wore down or broken? so it gets just enough to move the head to center, but then a slight movement to trigger the...

Retrofit old Canon S600 printer with ECO-SOL or pure HOT Solvent inks?

I am looking to use a old S600 to test using ECO-SOL inks in it for permanant non-fading prints on vinyl decal materials and the such. I understand that the HOT solvents may ruin the head and other sensitive parts....but the head actually seems pretty rugged (especially since I have tried using...

Ink leaking from cartridge to cartridge?

yeah, since I have fixed my Pixma Ip3000, i was using my older S600 which was pretty dependable....but right before i fixed my ip3000, the CYAN seemed to be spreading to the Magenta and Yellow cartridges. All cartdriges are cheapies....but the printer sure did do a LOT of printing before this...

*** Mystery Solved: BCI-3 Black not printing in Pixma ip3000

I am assuming the purge unit is definitley needed in order for printing...it seems to PRIME the cartridge/head etc. All i know is that where the black and CMY head returns (capping station), and the black hard filter/sponge thing was dry.... unlike the CMY one. After taking the cover off...u...

    i865 clogged - Help please

dude...at least the all colors are firing! could be worse! that isn't that bad. You may actually make things worse by taking the ceramic portion apart and cleaning that way...seems the gasket gets messed...and also excessive syringe pressure may create gasket leakage etc. i would stop there...

*** Mystery Solved: BCI-3 Black not printing in Pixma ip3000

here is a old post you can also read later as part of the mystery why my printer stopped printing black. Seemed not to be the case. http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=241 The print head was not the culprit...but probably the third party generic cartridges I had used from...

Why do my Canon PIXMA's photo prints suck?

i agree with tin ho.... lots of paper manufacturers and distributors to mix it all up.... you shouldn't have this problem with genuine canon paper...but not saying u have to use it....there a re cheaper solutions that are very smiliar to the real stuff without losing print quality. i know high...

Why do my Canon PIXMA's photo prints suck?

you must be using photo paper that doesn't work well with canon's. some photopaper has a more plastic feel to it and doesn't take the ink very well...so in dark heavy areas it mottles up and also doesn't dry quickly. try genuine canon photo paper and you should see a huge difference...and then...

    Pixma 3000

i am wondering if the cyan cartridge might be the problem, since u r refilling? obviously if u keep getting new heads, and cyan stops working soon after....i don't think the head is getting clogged that quickly....sounds to me the cartridges...maybe they aren't sealing correctly or something...

    Canon Pixma IP6600D Inks

supposed to be a great printer...i am considering to replace my ip3000 with it since it doens't utilize a pigment black cartridge which seems to clog if risking third party inks. only concern...it prints black text and the such much slower...where a pigment black is dedictaed to black text etc...

"Why do my Canon PIXMA's photo prints suck?" Probably because your printer sucks? hahaha.... jk.... no... I also have one too. It's a "OK" printer for photo printing...but definately not the best for it. I use it mainly for color printing on plain paper and photo paper here and there...and...

    Clogged Canon print head

Metallo, i think when u choose photo glossy mode...the pigment black is not used.... from what i understand, the CMY colors mix to form that black...the pigment black kicks in when printing 100% pigment black text and the such. where if clogged will not show up. i don't know anything about...

is there any solvent ink inkjet printer ?

hope so..that would be awesome! i would think any type of solvent ink would ruin them though? seems the printer would have to use high dollar solvent specific heads such as XAAR? wonder what heads are in the EcoSolvent Roland wide format digital printers? (pretty sure epson, but are they...

Help needed for Canon IP6000 printer---- Ink problem

long read. I still haven't had a minute to pop off the screens on the plastic housing (inlet hole) to see if in fact the clogs lies there. Removing the screens will probably permanantly ruin it though...which i don't care. crappola pigment black carts i think jammed it up...
