Bad luck...:(
I never tried to clean the ink absorbers on a working Canon printer. because chances of messing something inside are very high, unless you're quite experienced with these matters and have a very good guide for performing this task. A couple of times I resetted the inkpads...
You need to disable temporarily your antivirus in order to let the service tool to run. and reenable it again when you close the service tool. Alternatively, many antivirus programs let the user to define exceptions for a file that has been detected as a virus. The program informs you that a...
I guess that the wisest thing (and what I intend to do) is to keep the current drivers, as long as they work fine, disregarding future drivers, as most people here do with firmware upgrades. Every now and then I got a message on the screen of my Maxify telling me that new firmware is available...
Bed leveling depends a lot on the type of bed. I expect that it’s far easier to manufacture a perfectly flat glass sheet than one made of glass fiber or a thick aluminum plate. Glass fiber beds, as used Prusas, and static aluminum beds, used by many core XY machines, always need to perform a...
I guess it depends a lot on the type of filament and the size/shape of the parts to print. PLA needs strong cooling but other filaments need less or even no cooling at all. One thing is for sure, printing at the top speed allowed by your machine is never a good idea, if you want good looking...
IMHO the only reasonable option for multicolor prints is a machine with several toolheads, like the Prusa XL. Sadly, the new Prusa XY core machine seems to suffer from a lack of quality control and poor design in some parts. Maybe they'll get it right eventually but nowadays it's too expensive...
You should elaborate a bit more.
What kind of inks are you using .. Canon original or third party ?
Nozzle checks come totally blank or there’re traces of some colors ?
In the later case, did you see improvements, albeit minor, after each head cleaning ?
BTW I hope you didn’t perform several...
I still suspect that the problem resides on the software tool that you downloaded from Canon. It seems hard to believe that they would allow the users to get for free a software that resets the waste inkpad counters and performs other operations normally restricted to their technicians. Believe...
Prusa is facing strong competition, more than they can handle, I suspect. It’s no surprise that a middle sized European company can’t beat the always rising power of the Chinese industry, if only in terms of labor cost and sourcing components.
If you were a regular on Prusa forums, as I’m...
If you want my biased opinion, forget about bambus, crealitys and other flashy Chinese stuff.
Build a Voron to get the real thing. ( I'm sure redbrickman will agree ;) ).
Did you purchase the tool or did you got a free download ?.
In the later case, AFAIK ,all the free downloaded versions are fakes and won't work,.They do what you describe : the screen appears but you won't be able to perform any operation. Don't ask me how I know it.
It seems that...
Don't bother to look on Aliexpress because new and genuine QY6-0083 printheads are still currently available from reliable vendors. The best source depends on where you're located. As you own a TS-5150, I expect you're in Europe ?
If so, in the continent : eparts.fr (France ) and ceins.de...
Years ago, I used the Profile Prism software to make profiles using my scanner. Quality of the profiles ?. Mediocre at best, being indulgent. Too many variables at play: the color gamut and dynamic range varies a lot between different scanners. The spectral response of the paper to the scanner...
Many high temp. filaments as PC, ABS or PA, use little or no cooling fan, but those filaments are usually printed inside an enclosure to deal with warping. They also tend to be very sensitive to humidity so is not a good idea to keep the spools lying around, exposed to air moisture. The filament...
Two hotends, Nifty ? I see only one, fed by two Bowden extruders.
Do they use this setup to get more output or just to be able to mix different colors, if needed ? Your guess is as good as mine.
I wonder which kind of filament is this. As you can see, there’s no print fan, so it must be a stuff...
