Hey guys, has anyone had a problem with replacement printheads. I've had a couple now that won't print the PC, M, Y, and PM channels. Brand new, out of the box from Canon. This is about the third or fourth time this has happened.
Any ideas ?
I know Canon et al is in the business to sell us their overpriced ink, but I really wish they would ease up on the supply of print heads. We used to buy heads for the 9000 MKII's easily, but finding Pro-100 heads is a chore!
I managed to bring one back from the dead last week using...
HaHa, no it's not text or I would be running in Standard Quality all of the time!
Check out my Company's Website: botanicalpaperworks.com You can see the stuff that I print for a start, There's a lot of custom stuff too.
We used to run the same amount of 9000 MkII's, but we wore out the poor...
This whole business about the waste ink counter is useless unless you're cleaning your heads constantly. I run 10 Pro-100's all day, five days a week, sometimes running 300 shts. a day, per machine! I've never had an alert about the pad getting full since I stopped cleaning every day. Now I just...
I use hot tap water all the time, then follow up with distilled for a rinse. I have this really neat attachment for the faucet that we bought to clean print heads, works like a charm with a top fill cart.

Try to get yourself a large Syringe with the the Leuer tip on it. Take a spare orange clip from a non OEM cart and drill a 1/8" hole thru the rubber so that you can put the flushed cart in it and with the syringe draw almost all of the water out of the sponge. I use a food dehydrator for 24 to...
An easier way is to get a piece of tissue paper or paper towel under the port and pull out the fill plug. If you don't get a good flow out to the paper, it's time to flush. Probably foamed up.
HP's applied for a patent that makes a cartridge unrefillable. At least that's what I think it means.

It took me a couple of tries to connect with these guys after they sent me a quote. But, we got them in the end. I don't really know if they are ARC chips because I just use my Redsetter on them anyway. I heard there was some problems with the absorber count going weird with those.
Did a couple refills yesterday, working fine. They seemed to dribble a little, but I think that's because I just got the ink from Mikling and it was a little cold. Expansion probably.
They do reset with a Resetter, it was the first thing i did when I opened the box. The Hat, these look exactly like the OEM's and when you go through them like I do, any supply is better than none. Those ones you referred to from Octoink are awfully pricey. it works out to $4.19 CDN per tank...
