Could someone please tell me or point to a thread that tells you how to remove the print heads in a IP4500?

Can I make my own cleaning cartridges from empty ones (Canon ip4500) and what would be the best mix of cleaner to put in them, Ammonia etc? I don't what to remove the print heads;)

I've been refilling my Cannon cartridges (ip4500) using the German refill method and Hobbicolor inks and had no problem so far:) I'm sure this has been asked before:rolleyes:but what is the best way to flush out old cartridges? I have some from EBay and don't really want to use them without...

Sorry I should have explained it better. I have some empty cartridges which I wish to fill and keep ready to use. I'm not talking about the refilling hole because I use the German method. I mean the main outlet for the ink that has the plastic orange cover on when you buy a new OEM cli-8 cartridge.

Can anyone tell me the best tape to seal a cartridge to stop it drying out or leaking after a refill.

I've just got my resetter today for ink.co.uk. I've refilled three cartridges for my ip4500 using the German method, reset them and all are working great :)

Does anyone know where I can download the Olmec icc profiles for a IP4500. I can find then for the IP4000 would they be OK?

I'm not too concerned about the black smearing on text if it gets wet! I do a lot of photos so which would be the best black to use in the PGI-5BK for that.
