DISSAPOINTED IN MY MP500 and ETBASS !!

I still recommend people buy a single solid printer instead of those all in ones. They seem to last longer and they are cheaper plus when it does wear out they don't cost as much to replace. Good printer + Good Scanner = smart move.

Canon MP600 ink use and printing modes

Depends on what paper you are using as well. Duplex + Fast Mode + Plain Paper = Pigment ink. It would be nice the end user had more control over what inks where used.

    Canon MP600 duplex + fast = horrible

Looking at those pictures above I would use "duplex normal". It appears to shoot out enough ink to look like fast mode on a single side and probably uses the same amount of ink. Don't get stuck in the "I have to use fast mode mindset", if normal mode works then use it.

    Canon MP600 duplex + fast = horrible

Sadly Canon worried about bleed through so they made some bad choices with duplex. You could try different paper settings like matte photo paper and see if that improves the quality.

    IP3000, iP4000, iP5000 case design?

The newer models also have the breadbox design but slightly updated: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=184&modelid=15596

    IP3000, iP4000, iP5000 case design?

The 8500 also had the breadbox design. The newer models have a updated breadbox design. I personally love the design, it's neat and clean plus I can put things on top of the printer since it's flat.

First working aftermarket CLI-8/PGI-5Bk carts with chips on the way !

No it's the useless nazi circuit they added which does nothing but cause more problems. The older thinktank worked just fine for years. The carts and ink that go into printer cost $2-3 and get sold retail for $14....lots of profit built in.

    Canon MX7600 looks very interesting

The printer will probably cost $500 and then the inks will be more expensive then their dye inks as well.

Lower cost PGI-5 and CLI-8 resetter??

What's the point....save your money. For $300 you could buy a lot of canon carts and not worry about resetting the cart. Just refill and keep a check on the levels every once in a while.

    Strange CD Printing Problem!

CD Label Print is kind of buggy I recommend trying other software like Nero Cover Designer or Adobe template to verify that it's not a software bug.

    Print webpages using only black

I use Scrapbook for Firefox so I can eliminate all the extra crud on the page before sending it to the printer. That way it's just the text that I want.

    Canon Quality, 5 Colour 1pl VS 6 Colour 2pl

Sounds like a defect with the 6700 then to say the 4500 is superior. Maybe you could send me the picture and I will print it using mine and send it to you so you could compare.

IP4500 = Good IP6700 = Better Pro9000 = Awesome The low end models I wouldn't even consider since the IP4300 could be bought for $80 still.

Wireless Canon printers :: Any users?

The C-6700WG is a newer silex print server and it apparently was a joint effort by silex and canon. It looks promising however anytime you go wireless problems can come up and your area and possible interference will be hard to predict.
