Until now there is no air in the silicone tubings and it's printing ok but I don't print loads of pics, maybe 30 photo's a week

The lifetime of those ink bottles is 2 years as should be with all ink bottles (when opened)
I use 2 syringes one for pigment and one for dye ink (I clean and make sure not to contaminate the ink)

I really wish people do more search before buying a printer. I fell into this same mistake buying the MP980 but at least it's still refillable
