I didn't before, and that may have caused the printer turning off problem. The second time, I made sure the print head was dry, and the printer is on again, but no black, and no light cyan, and no light magenta on nozzle check. Trying to print black just results in blank page.
Well now, I purchased a new OEM canon cart and after a couple of clean outs again of my print head I cannot print ANY black! No black nozzle check, no nothing.:(
Now, my printer just turned off and won't turn back on. Woe, Woe is me.
Got the printer to turn back on by un-pluging and...
The problem is with the large pigmented black ink. I followed a number of the steps and finally removed the print head completely and cleaned it, verifying that everything was open both in the head and between the screens and the head.
I am beginning to suspect my ink. I opened a new (old)...
This happened all at once. I had been refilling the same OEM carts for years and I thought they might have been refilled too many times, so I used a brand new MIS cart, and it didn't change.
I have a Canon pixma ip5000 which has been printing perfectly until now. I first noticed missing streaks in letters, so I did a nozzle check, and cleaning. The nozzle check first showed missing areas, but cleaned up after the cleaning cycle, but the streaks kept appearing in my letters. I...
According to Alotofthings.com , Arrowjet Cartridges (except for Epson for now) now have OCP ink out of Germany. Does anybody have any experience with this ink?
I had a Canon I950 printer and have been using MIS inks for some time (4 oz bottles). Lately, I started having color problems and discovered that my black ink had seperated. MIS said this can happen if the ink is "old" (My ink was over a year old). I ordered a new bottle of black. Next my...
I just came across this post and I too have been having terrible troubles with color on my Canon 950i with MIS inks.
1. I cannot print a black and white photo that is not a cyan color on the greys (oddly enough before adding the 960i color profiles, picking any kind of "photo paper" resulted...
I have been going through 100's of sheets of paper trying unsucsessfully to get a decent color profile.
But in the diagnosis of my problems I have come across a strange phenomenon. Even after deleting the default printer profile from the printer driver, setting the driver to "none", printing...
I discovered the cause!!
First MIS suggested that my ink had separated even though it was not past the expiration date. I noticed that my bottle of black did indeed show some signs of separation. However, I inserted a new cartridge of black ink (also MIS) and I still had the problem.
I tried...
Thanks for the idea. I couldn't see any problems until I reduced the intensity all the way down to -50 (all color management disabled to the best of my ability). Now I see this scabby output on both the black and regular cyan. Not quite ready to waste a new cartridge on those colors yet, but...
As I mentioned, this is evident to varying degrees on many different papers including plain paper. Right now I am trying Office Depot Premium High Gloss, but I just went through a whole package of Kodak Ultima trying to sort out the horible color matches with different color profiles when I...
My printer has started to leave dark blobs (smaller than a pin head but
visible to the naked eye) in all of the darker areas of my photos. It
is much more evident in photo paper, but still visible with a magnifying
glass on plain paper.
It is like the darker areas are using very course dots...
