In my observation cast papers can have - probably due to the fabrication process - a smoother surface than many resin coated ones, where in particular for the cheaper ones the paper structure stays more or less visible.
But RC papers always have a plastic coating on the back, making them...
I sniffed at my papers again and the KODAK Ultra Premium Photo Paper is most close to the
Canon PP-201 Glossy II Photo Paper Plus
now on sale at Canon for € 12,24/20 A4

Both are 5 star papers.

As reported yesterday, I was very impressed with the
KODAK Ultra Premium Photo Paper
on sale at Amazon (€ 7.99/20 A4, € 9.99 for 25).
If I didn't have enough glossy A4 in stock I would take more (also since the back feels plastic and has the Kodak logo printed, not so nice for photobooks or...
While my Colormunki was doing overtime the Amazon courier delivered a pack
25 A4 KODAK Ultra Premium Photo Paper 280g (€ 9,99, 40ct/sheet).

This is definitely RC - it seems all plastic - the surface is smoother than the...
Qimage is indeed a weird program, but you can do things with it LR cannot.
Anyway, my latest tests on cast and matte papers indicate that I won't need the margin hack soon.
I made some profiles with "Other Fine Art 1" settings.
Canon MBK (genuine LUCIA) does not adhere on the cast papers I...
It seems to me on the PRO-10 the black level of PK is enhanced considerably with the CO coating (the latter not been absorbed fast enough on my casts papers and puddling/smearing).
And to have sufficiently high gamut on matte papers you need to use the "Fine Art" settings. These not only use...
Sadly enough Aldi doesn't sell it's famous (and cheap) RC paper anymore.
For my calendars I need 100-150 A4's every year.
So I searched for leftovers in my stock and found cast papers of different (or no) brands.
(these papers have a cardboard back where you can write on with a pencil, while RC...
I have the PRO-9500 II and PRO-10 (not the -S model) on WIN11 without any issues.
The PRO-10 prints (as does the Maxify) also via Wifi from a laptop with 2024H2 and Android phones and tablet.
PRO-100 should work also.
Merry Christmas !
IMO it is a random problem - or two of them occurring together - that puts the printer in this mode.
Unless you get it regularly I wouldn't worry too much.
BTW the phone company installed a gorgeous new fiber network and Wi-Fi system here (expensive, but you have not much choice here in...
It seams an isolated problem and not a printhead fault.
I suppose you tried cleaning the contacts (where the cyan cart connects in the printhead) with some alcohol ?
Did you try a new cyan cart ?
Otherwise remove the printhead and clean there (although I wonder the problem should be there).
Only for your information

In addition to @The Hat 's info: the setup carts are internally the same as regular ones, you can refill them to the full volume.
To refill cartridges with bags see this video...
I have a Canon Maxify for business prints/scanning and a PRO-10 for photos.
The Epson ET-8550 could do both (with some compromises).
The low ink cost (without all the mess of refilling carts) is a major advantage too.
If I would start over today I would think about the ET-8550 seriously, since...
I still have one working in the printer, a second PRO-10 laid up with an almost new head and a brand new printhead in the box...
Based on a testimonial of Precisioncolors, his only customer with a failing printhead ran the cartridges empty.
These things seem to be way better than the...
Well, I missed the opportunity then ;).
OTH I once bought their PRO-9500 replacements and sent them back immediately.
Also saw several times printers for sale completely messed up by their inks.
This for sure also was due to the badly built 3th party carts.
Anyway, maybe I never will need...
