I have a Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark 11, use Hobbicolors and Kirkland Glossy Photo Paper. Let's say I have made my own custom profile for this combination.
Questions:
* can we assume that, using my custom made profile, by someone else with the same printer, ink and...
I have changed from babies to printers loooong time ago, but kitchen towel or ( clean ;) ) toilet paper makes no difference to me, although I think the kitchen towel takes more water. You just need good contact between the paper and the outlet.
Good for you, now Dave has done that, you might consider to add at the post tittle : " but Hobbicolors fixed it " as it looks negative to eveyone who sees the post title.
Hazelnut
I looked on the ebay link that you gave me and it states clearly
" Please note that these OEM cartridges are used and they do not come with orange caps. "
It is written in red...
Never thought about just using tape for that. If you use the German methode to refill, you ONLY need red caps for storage of a spare set, if the tape works for the flushing hole, it might as well replace the red cap during storage ?
The only thing with storing a spare set I found out, you need...
If Hobbicolors mentioned that the red caps were not included, and you know you don't have them yourself, you can not be disappointed in Hobbicolors as well.;)
Now you only need to change the title of your post into " with myself ".....lol
It is true, you could use the plug-ins that Hobbicolors provided wit your ink. I bought a box full of emty OEM carts as I wanted a few spare sets of carts to re-fill and to experiment with other ink. So I drilled holes on top to be able to flush, and after purging I closed the holes again with...
Just close the predrilled hole with hot glue, make a hole for your syringe and you are DONE. If you use the German methode, you don't need a cap, this forum is full with explanation about the German methode. You also don't have to worry that the ink will leak during refilling.
I never said hazulnut SHOULD use the German methode, I only asked if Hazelnut CAN'T use the methode, that's all....as it has so many advantages. Don't get mixed up.
I am a CLI-8 guy, but can't you refill with the German methode ? You don't need the caps then, and it is very easy and a clean way to refill.
I have purged many OEM empty carts, and created a spare set in that way. There is a mixture here on the forum somewhere to use for purging carts, I used...
I have a Pixma Pro mark 11 and use Hobbicolors as well. Had some tans in it as well, I use the printer to print brochures, and for my own holiday photos, I have no high " demands, but as with you, had a tan in it.
I use the Kirkland paper as well, did a lot of test printing, perhaps not the...
I started to refill with the squeeze bottles as well. To prevent any ink draw back problems, I just check my ink levels on a regular base through the ink status program, and when I see that one ( or two ) levels are nearly done, I just refill , fill the ink chamber to the top, take the syringe...
I use the original cartridges, refill them with the German method and bought a chip resetter. Next to that I have a spare set of OEM cartridges. I use Hobbicolors, and like it, have no problems, but whatever third party ink you chose, refilling OEM carts with a resetter works like a charm.
I...
Yes, I think it is like that. Also...don't forget, this was my first ( very good ) experience with the German refill method, and I am sure I used much more time to refill the first 2 carts than the 3rd PC cart.
I think if you really want to see what happens you should do following:
Test 1 ...
This was written on the Internet :
When I started printing, all carts were the OEM Canon carts, filled with OEM Canon ink.
Each time a cart got empty, I refilled the cart ( with the German method ) with Hobbicolors ink. This means that, after the refill, there is a certain small amount of OEM...
No there is no typo, my best guess is, that during those 25 prints, the ratio between OEM PC and Hobbicolors PC ( last color that was changed ) in the cart, has changed, and that gave the change in color.

No, it is not a mistake, I kept a log and it was exactly as I stated under the pictures.
I scanned with an Epson Perfection 4180 Photo scanner, for me, a real good scanner. I admit that the scans came out a tiny bit darker than reality, but I decided not to make any change in the...
