Waste ink kit/tank for Canon Pixma Pro 9000 MII ?

I have a Pixma Pro 9000 MII and I print 400 brochures borderless, two sides, so around 800 prints letter format a year, next to that some private pictures, that would make it a 1000 prints. I was wondering how long it will take for the pads to be full, and if it is easy to clean or replace these...

CLI-8 refills - Ink permanence vs. accuracy vs. gamut

Be careful not to compare your own usage of photos with some other ( very experienced ) people here in the forum. I think there are different kind of people, with different kind of needs: If you are a professional photographer, who makes and sells family pictures at a price of $100.00 each...

Yes, I have the same experience with my Pro 9000 Mark II I bought a box full of vergins on Ebay, purged them, and sold what I did not need on Ebay. CLI-8 refills - Ink permanence vs. accuracy vs. gamut

The question was not what YOU liked, or who sells what and their service.... This forum starts to be more and more an organized advertisement for specific members. You could have answered with your last sentence only: " I have not tested this ink, so cant help you there." I am not an...

    Hobbicolors

You are absolutely right leo88, I had chosen Hobbicolors for the same reasons as you, and it doesn't mean that some other inks are bad as well. I went for Hobbicolors for my Canon after reading a lot of topics on the ( excellent ) forum, but I guess a favor for ink or printer is as with...

What are we talking about now.......using third party ink, compared with OEM ink is WAAAAAAAY cheaper, wherever you buy your ink in the UK, or Hobbicolors in the USA I wonder what the price difference, for the same amount of ink, INCLUDING shipping, is......between buying in the USA or in the...

Purging a lot of OEM Canon CLI-8 and Batch-drying

The isopropyl is simply rubbing alcohol, it is on the shelf on many stores, I had it at Walmart 70% The propylene glycol I got at the pharmacy, had to ask for it at the counter. They only have it in bulk ( in Qubec/Canada ), but sold me some if I came back with an empty bottle. Lol, lucky for me...

Purging a lot of OEM Canon CLI-8 and Batch-drying

The BIG advantage of purging the way I did is, that I clean the outlet sponge as well, instead of using it as a filter. I had some residue in some carts, and they left through the hole I drilled, and which I afterwards closed with hot glue. So I only use the kitchen towel to dry the carts, AFTER...
