I used the " rounded " depth probe of a cheap caliper to go UNDER the sponge, because you can actually see and guide the depth probe exactly to the middle of the wall of the ink chamber. This depth probe makes a rather " big hole ". the probe is 1,75mm or 0.07 inch thick, that...
I agree with panos as well, on all his points. I have no experience with non-OEM carts, as after reading all the posts on this forum I started using only OEM carts with my printers.
There was only one time the small refill hole leaked ink, and that was because I did not hot-glue the purge hole...
I will be the last one to to bring something new down, but I don't see any advantages over the German methode to be honest. If you know how much ink an empty cartridge needs, you just inject that amount ( or a bit less ) and you are done.
* faster
* no new stuff needed
* keep on using the...
I remember the time ( not so long ago......) that we all we refilling with the German Methode and a syringe, and no-one had any problem.
Than the squeeze bottle came, and with the tranparent carts they were a big success.
For me, I refill CLI-8 carts, but when I get my low-ink warning, the ink...

I started with a Xerox Phaser 8560, still have it, but bought 2 Canons ( Pro 9000 Mark II and iP4300 ) next to it. This Xerox solid ink printer is not economical at all, especially when you compare it with a refill Canon printer.
It " crunches " every 3 hours if you don't use...

The orange clip I got when I bought empty chinese refill cartridges, but I never used them, as I started immidiately with the German refill methode.
At first I purged emty carts ( I bought a lot of virgin carts on Ebay ) with the hose straight on the outlet, but that is not so easy...
Tony, here are the pics that came with my original post.
I took most of my posts off the forum, as I am dissappointed about how some good people were treated here, without any support or lack of involvement from other members and admin of the forum.
I will put back the video link as well, there...
Below is a link of a topic in another forum how to modify printers to be able to print straight on PCB boards. There is some modifying involved, and the best thing you could do is get a used epson C86 or so, as they are easy to modify. The link starts at page one, but it is at least 100 pages...
Thank you for your input guys, but I don't want to go off-topic too much.
My question was : does anyone know how fast the ink pads will be full with 1000+ letter format borderless printing , and if a re-set code is necessary if pads would be full.
I brought up the idea of an external waste tank...
I agree with Rob on stopping any personal attacks.
I think ghwellsjr has made GREAT contributions ( 2500 post.....!! ) and I never had the feeling he came to a certain conclusion because he didn't like a certain product. I also think one should not over-react if your own product comes out...
This is just like printing on carton.....but instead of carton, you glue 2 thin layers on each other, the top layer hole will fit the CD, and the bottom layer is closed, or smaller then the top layer. This should not be too difficult.....at each DIY store they have that thin, " milky " plastic...
I recently replaced the 20 gauge needles for 18 gauge. With the 20 gauge I had to squeeze the bottle a lot, I was always afraid of that pressure. What was the worst, they are so thin, that, when they come out of the cart, they vibrate like a spring, splashing the ink around and on your clothes.
In my own experience it is true Epson being a waste ink hog......when I placed an external wast ink tank on the side of my Epson 1280, I could see the waste ink shots go into the transparent bottle, with each cycle, I was happy I installed the tank, AND that I used cheap 3rd party ink .....
I...
