Ok, can you tell us what non-chipped cartridges you got? where you got them? So that we can see if there are instructions for switching the chip over. Most come with the instructions to do that, yours did not?

Wrong cartridges, the ones Siskiou is referring to, are similar to the CL-41 PG-40 etc. I believe the ink disabling is the same as the CL-41 PG-40 as well, refilling is similar, just different ink volumes.
That is an ink level not detected error, the chip may be no good, have you a chip resetter? is it that the LCD language has changed? If so you can choose the proper language using the user manual instructions, if it is the actual print out that is in another language then you need the reset...
Delete the LX-Cats file completely, it is not required to print. I don't know if this will solve your preasent problem, it may be an electronics fault on the cartridge itself, they do burn out easily.
Atlantic Inkjet has closed their Canadian stores, as well. I also used to order from them, but noticed on the website the change in inks, and emailed them about it. Their response was"we have closed the Canadian store, and have made a personal move to the USA". My guess is, Richard sold Atlantic...
That cartridge contains pigment ink, the sponges will not turn white, as do the colours, as the colours are dye based ink. They are fine, you have done nothing wrong, dry and refill as the others : )
These chips have not been cracked yet, and we aren't sure if they can be. Most, if not everyone, in the remanufacturing industry, are recommending you buy the older Canon models that take the PG5/CLI8 cartridges, which have a resetter available, or buy a Brother, which do not chip their cartridges.
You should purchase what is called a "primer" for your particular cartridge. It is a tool, that your cartridge snaps into, an empty syringe attaches to the end where the head is located, when you pull back on the syringe plunger very slowly, it sucks the air out of the head, until just ink is...
I bought a Sudhaus when they first came out months ago, via RNB import & Export Germany, I have reset over 60 cartridges so far with no problems, battery still seems to be going strong, as well.
Mmmmmm just throw away the syringe when it is no good anymore?
I can see it now, we cartridge recyclers save the earth from millions of ink/toner cartridges, only to replace them with millions of worn out syringes.
Might I suggest, taking the seal off the syringe, and throwing the syringe...
