Interesting. I haven't dove deep into it, but I have mixed feelings ranging from "Are these really advances that should be patented and litigated against vs. contributing to the community" vs. "Business is business, and their goal is to make money... and I can't fault them if they are doing it...
Congrats on your new purchase!!! Thanks for sharing your first impressions and experiences.
It's just incredible what Bambu Labs has done for the the 3D printing space in the last few years. SO many companies are playing catch-up. I'm seeing a LOT of very large print-farms moving from...
Yup, I filter all my email, even through my non-gmail accounts, through gmail for their awesome spam filtering.
I used to try to do it all through Bayesian filtering, etc., but it was too hard. Gmail is just expert at it.
I like 3D printing and I'm a novice at modeling.
... but I really enjoy watching people who are experts in their field (programmers, brick-layers, whatever) as they perform their mastery!
So, this is a great combo of things I enjoy. Pretty interesting:
Also, Two Bit Tony has a GREAT OnShape...
Hey guys, this might be a bit of a stretch, but I thought I'd ask here just in case we have some experts:
I'm going to be doing some robust home automation. I've been doing a TON of research, but I'm still trying to figure out a few things and need some advice.
I've mainly used Google Home and...
Sorry for the loss of one of your arms!
Great idea to have those chains supporting downward-force... and good point that it could have been a side-hit.
I've had so many brands of printers (inkjet and laser) over the years... but Canon printers have a special place in my heart.
... which is why I splurged a bit and got a Canon Color Laser printer a few months ago :)
The megatank printers are VERY interesting to me! I've been wanting to learn...
I love Stephan's videos!
I watched that one a couple years ago and used the technique a time or two.
... but mostly I don't print very large stuff, so if I have a fail, I just usually start over.
I needed some door latch / catch / clip / holders for my shed door, so I found a model already designed in the OnShape library and modified it to accept an m4 bold down the middle for added strength!
Wow, some really innovative / interesting features!
I don't think I'd ever be able to dive deep enough for a kit like this, but I LOVE seeing various companies (and individuals) coming up with new ideas in the space!
A few years ago I bought this razor:
I like it (adjustable, etc.) for a great shave, but the handle is a bit smooth / slippery.
I've seen a bunch of videos like the one below for shrink fitting parts together, so I decided to try it here!
I printed a test fit sleeve that was kinda tight. I...
I saw that! I think it's fun that he bought one and did a video.
It's silly, but I bet if you showed that to a 3D printing hobbyist 10 years ago, it would blow their mind! LOL!
I'm loving how accessible 3D printing has become.
An entrepreneur friend of mine recently got a Bambu Labs printer...
Yup, I have similar thoughts.
My frustration continues to be with regard to the binary nature of a lot of the warnings out there. It seems like something is either "good" or "bad".
I know smoking is bad.
I know x-rays are bad.
I know breathing the air in many cities in India and China (and...
It's a great printer at that price!
I saw the Ender 3 V3 KE on sale for $250 the other day and was tempted... but then I asked myself: "Why? You're happy with the SE, and haven't needed it to do anything it hasn't be able to do."
The whole kit is about 1/2 of what I'd pay for a new printer that is about equally as good, so I doubt I'd go that direction.
That said, your overall concept is solid... so I've ordered a $30 kit of both rollers and will give the repair a try. If it doesn't work, the I'll donate or scrap the...
This little gem has been acting up :(
Started with some minor, then significant ghosting, and also some light wrinkles on the page.
I used ChatGPT to do some troubleshooting and turns out it suggested an issue with the fuser roller / assembly.
I opened up the back of the printer and noticed...
