leo8088, what about the pigment black text over colored background on normal copier paper (not inkjet coated paper). Any idea does the pgiment black text bleeds? For eg:
Received a cart (CLI-8) from Mapsy.
So far I had used the Mapsy CLI-8 cart without much of the problem. Though I cannot say about the PGI-5 cart since I didn't had a full set to test. But I had decided to get the rest of the cartridges to complete the set but at this point I hadn't gotten...
Thanks for willing to help to test out the print quality aspect. Refreshing what was discussed 2 years back with some inferior black pigment ink, regarding the printout of black pigment text on color background with Plain Paper setting (Standard, Auto Intensity).
Clog issue is the most...
websnail thanks for the reply.
I wonder if the Magenta batch problem has been corrected as mentioned in one of the thread sometime back. As I see the picture of the Magenta bottle is showing up as slightly more reddish in color. Probably has got to do with the lighting and angle the photo is...
Hi websnail, I wonder if you will be able to carry some product (probably small amount) that can be used to lubricate syringe? Even though I am using squeeze bottle for refilling but there are time when I need to use syringe. After utilizes it for a while and after repeated cleaning, it became...
Try resit that cartridge that is not giving out light again. Press on the plastic at the end downward ( the plastic where you press on it to loosen and lift out the cartridge) to ensure the chip make good contact with the chip sensor.
@ghwellsjr, thanks very much for sharing your part. I am not too sure why you didn't get that message. Probably different printer giving different result as I do get that error msg that the printhead is unrecognized when it went dead.
What I meant by printhead back gold plates must align with...
now if it had been liquid that have gotten into the prinhead where it shouldn't be as described by ghwellsjr and eventually killing your printhead (due to electric problem). I would think that it would give you a message that your printhead is unrecognized (since it's dead) assuming it didn't...
After you removed the refilled carts and replaced with generic carts, did you remove and reinstall the printhead prior to inserting the generic carts? Because the refilled carts where the plug from the refilled carts might have shifted the printhead slightly. So when you replaced with the...
ghwellsjr, He will not be able to print anything if the printhead is not sitted well. Not a single drop of ink will be sprayed out from the nozzles for nozzle check or any other form of printing. He/she will have to deal with the printhead alignment error first. Not so much as dealing with the...
Of course! and No wonder. That is what cause your printhead alignment error. The plug is hitting the printer housing. You need to make sure your seal plug is inserted and they should be sitted flat on the cartridge refill hole.
Hope this picture let you see the problem. If your plug is not...
ghwellsjr, hazelnut did mentioned at post #8 that he/she did nozzle check but nothing printed at all.
He/she will not be able to print anything out for nozzle check if the printhead didn't sit properly such that the printhead back "gold-looking" plated didn't connect well to the printhead...
just remove the all the cartridges first and then remove the printhead. Thereafter reinstall the printhead back to the printer. It won't take you long do to that isn't it?
I once had the same problem with printhead unable to aligment. And I found out that the printhead wasn't sitted properly...
hazelnut, you mentioned you replaced with a new printhead, and you gotten the "print head has failed" message. It's quite unlikely for a brand new printhead to be faulty. If you are still getting the printhead has failed error, first removed all your cartridges and remove the printhead. Then...
It's not just only whether it will smear with a highlighter but also whether when printing document where there are black texts over color background will the black text bleeds?
It could be that they updated the description. You can clearly see that the listing indicated that it was revised on 11-Aug-2010 just under the 'Description' tab.
